How Keith Urban made millions with his country music
Keith Urban was born on the 26th of October 1967. He is famous for being an Australian country singer, songwriter, and prolific record producer. While he was born in New Zealand, he considers himself more Australian since he grew up in the country and did his first major work there.
He released his first album in 1991 that was simply titled ‘Keith Urban’. After this, he moved tot eh United States in 1992 and began to work as a session guitarist before he started his won band called The Ranch. The band recorded a single album and had two charting singles.
He released another solo album titled with his name began to involve Christian influence in his songs. He since released a total of 9 studio albums, and one of them was only released in Australia. He has had 37 songs chart on the Hot Country Songs chart in the United States, making him one of the most well-known and respected country artists.
He is also widely known for acting as a vocal coach on the Australian version of The Voice, as well as being a judge on the show American Idol. He has been married to Nicole Kidman since 2006. In 2013 he launched his own line of signature guitars.
Keith has been open about his abuse of the addictive drug cocaine while he lived in Nashville and came to his lowest point in 1998. Keith met his future wife Nicole Kidman at a Hollywood event that was promoting Australian actors and performers, and they started dating one another 6 months afterwards. They got married in 2006.
